If I continue to have ghost touch issues can anyone advise me on how to ground the Pi without connecting LAN or HDMI as I wasn't planning on using either of those!įorceman001 wrote:Has anybody else seen this issue or is it fairly isolated? Pretty poor effort when the official accessories don't play nice together This is pretty much what Patje101 suggested so we will see how this goes - perhaps the 2A power supply I was testing with wasn't all that great. They tried switching out a brand new 7" touchscreen with exactly the same resultsĪfter some testing with a generic 2A power supply they have decided that the 2.5A official power supply is the root cause of the issue and are shipping me back my 7" touchsreen with a 2A power supply.

They found the combination of hardware as outlined in my original post, in combination with NO external devices attached (screen via HDMI, LAN cable or USB cables) caused the issue. After some testing they were able to reproduce the issues I was seeing. I send the 7" touchscreen back to the vendor I brought it from.
